Hackers have released a large volume of patient data from NHS Dumfries and Galloway onto the dark web. The criminal group had previously warned that they would publish more information if a ransom wasn’t paid. New health board CEO Julie White has condemned the act and confirmed that national agencies, including the police and the Scottish Government, are assessing the published data. The general public has been advised to stay alert to data access attempts.
