ScamSniffer has issued a warning about crypto scammers using fake influencer accounts to lure victims into malicious Telegram groups. The scammers employ a malware known as “OfficialSafeguardBot” tricking users into quickly verifying, leading to compromised private keys and wallets. Impersonation accounts increased by 87% recently, leading to over $3 million in losses. ScamSniffer suggests using hardware wallets to secure assets.
