The Russian state-backed “LitterDrifter” USB worm, designed to infect Ukrainian targets, is spreading globally. It conceals malware in a hidden file on USB drives which then captures data and sends it back to the attackers. Despite its initial targeting of Ukraine, it has now spread to the US, Vietnam, Chile, Poland, Germany and Hong Kong. The worm is part of a larger-scale data collection operation.
