Ukraine’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued a warning about a recent phishing campaign launched by the Russia-linked hacker group, APT28. This campaign relied on previously unseen malware, deployed in less than an hour, to steal data. The malware, known as MASEPIE, would be installed onto victims’ devices after they clicked a link in a malicious document. APT28 also used multiple other tools for command execution and network reconnaissance.
