Russian Hackers Target European Diplomats with ‘Wine-Tasting’ Phishing Scams

A Russian state-linked hacking group APT29, also known as Cozy Bear or Midnight Blizzard, is ramping up its cyberattacks on European diplomatic targets. The group uses a stealthy malware tool called GrapeLoader, concealed in a phishing email about a wine tasting event. The malware installs itself on the victim’s computer undetected, gathers information, and communicates with a command and control server for further instructions.
