Russian Hackers Deploy HATVIBE and CHERRYSPY Malware Across Europe and Asia

Russian-linked threat actors, known as TAG-110, have been using malware tools to conduct a cyber espionage campaign, targeting organizations in Central Asia, East Asia, and Europe. Predominantly affecting government bodies, human rights groups, and educational institutions, the attacks use security flaws and phishing emails to deploy a backdoor for data gathering. The group’s activities reflect part of Russia’s wider strategy to gather intelligence and potentially compromise post-Soviet states and NATO allies.
