Russia-linked APT29 targets European diplomats with new malware

APT29, a cyberespionage group linked to Russia’s foreign intelligence service, has reportedly used a new malware loader in a phishing campaign against diplomatic missions in Europe. The group impersonated a major European Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sending out invitations to wine tasting events, which lead to the deployment of a new backdoor called GRAPELOADER.
