The UK’s Royal Mail’s overseas delivery system has been disrupted by a ransomware attack, allegedly linked to Russian group LockBit. The intrusion, which affects the back office system that prepares and tracks international mail, impacted six sites including Bristol and a significant Heathrow distribution centre. The Royal Mail has halted international shipping and is working with UK authorities to restore service. The ransom demanded is reportedly in the millions.
