Rooted Androids 3,000x More Likely to Be Breached, Even iPhones Not Safe

Despite tighter security measures by Apple and Google, hackers continue to exploit rooted and jailbroken devices. Mobile security firm Zimperium warns that these compromised phones pose a significant risk to businesses being targeted for malware and system takeovers. Rooted Android devices risk increased attack by malware, system compromise, and filesystem breaches. Even though the number of such devices has declined, they remain a potent threat, particularly in the workplace. Companies must take mobile security seriously and implement advanced threat detection tools and strict app policies.
