Report: Two-Thirds Of U.S. Adults Received Notice Personal Data Compromised

Despite understanding the risks of online activity, a relatively small percentage of Americans take recommended steps to protect their data such as using strong passwords or credit monitoring after a data breach, according to a consumer research on digital privacy. With over 2,116 data breaches reported in the first three quarters of 2023, affecting 66 million people, only 6% have bought cyber security insurance and just 27% use a password manager.
