A global study by digital health company Artera suggested poor provider communication is causing patients to miss medical bills. The study found that 45% of patients missed or forgot to pay due to communication difficulties with their provider. A further 43% claimed such difficulties negatively influenced their health. About 59% would switch doctors over poor communication, and 77% found automated provider-to-patient text exchanges useful, while 69% expressed frustration at lacking conversational text exchange capabilities.
