Remote patient monitoring reduces blood pressure for patients in New York State

Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) in Buffalo, New York, has introduced a remote patient monitoring program to help manage hypertension, a prevalent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Healthcare vendor Brook Health designed the program to overcome transportation barriers that may hinder treatment adherence. It has shown positive results, with 74% of participants reporting an average blood pressure less than 140/90 after three months and an 80% maintenance rate.
