ReliaQuest reveals increase in malware via fake CAPTCHA pages

ReliaQuest has reported a steep increase in malware campaigns using fake CAPTCHA pages, which copy services such as Google and CloudFlare, to trick users into executing harmful commands. The firm noted one case study where a retail trade customer encountered a fake CAPTCHA being used to download harmful files. To help combat the threat, ReliaQuest recommends educating employees about the risks and implementing strategies to block known indicators of compromise.
