Redline, Vidar and Raccoon Malware Stole 1 Billion Passwords in 2024

Malware has stolen more than a billion passwords in the past year, warns a report from Specops Software. Even with strong password policies, users using common weak passwords are contributing to the problem. Attackers gained direct access to valuable data like personal information, financial records, and corporate secrets. Organizations need to implement stronger password policies and encourage users to avoid weak password practices.
