Record $65m Settlement for Hacked Patient Photos

A Pennsylvania healthcare company, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), has settled a data breach lawsuit involving nearly 135,000 patients and employees for a record-breaking $65m. The breach exposed addresses, social security numbers, medical data, and nude photos of cancer patients. This is believed to be the largest per-patient settlement in a healthcare data breach-ransomware case.
