Ransomware suspected in Kettering Health cyberattack disrupting patient services, canceling elective procedures

Kettering Health confirmed a cybersecurity attack, suspected to be ransomware, that disrupted hospital operations and forced the cancellation of elective procedures. The hospital has since mitigated the intrusion and is actively investigating the incident. Hospital operations remain partially affected with limited access to patient care systems. An unidentified group, believed to be the Interlock gang, is suspected behind the attack and is reportedly threatening to leak Kettering’s data unless a ransom is paid.
