The Qilin ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) group is offering legal counsel to affiliates, via a “Call Lawyer” feature, to put greater pressure on victims to pay. The service is part of an expanded offering by Qilin which positions itself as a full-service digital crime platform. The group has seen considerable growth, with the demise of competing ransomware groups. The new features aim to make Qilin a comprehensive cybercrime service, rather than a pure ransomware outfit.
