Q&A: cloud computing law in Sweden

Swedish law doesn’t directly recognize or regulate cloud computing, with a focus instead on tech neutrality. Indirect regulation exists through legislation such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Electronic Communications Act, and the Electronic Commerce Act. Measures to protect consumer rights include e-commerce and digital transaction laws. Sector-specific rules apply to areas such as healthcare, finance, and national security. Insolvency laws aren’t specific to cloud computing, but general laws and principles apply.
