PuTTY vulnerability can be exploited to recover private keys (CVE-2024-31497)

A vulnerability in the PuTTY SSH and Telnet client could allow attackers to access NIST P-521 client keys. The flaw, discovered by researchers, affects PuTTY versions v0.68 to 0.80 and some other software bundles. It has been fixed in the latest PuTTY version and users are advised to revoke any keys used with PuTTY and generate new ones.
