Cyber gangs operating with the approval of Russia, Iran, and North Korea pose significant threats to the UK’s critical national infrastructure including public services, and the government, warns Martin Riley, director of security services at Bridewell. This comes after Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden sounded an alarm over the risks from “sophisticated” cyber criminals. Bridewell’s own research shows a 62% increase in attacks on the UK’s critical infrastructure between 2022 and 2023, urging organisations to invest in cybersecurity measures.
