Prudential Financial: February incident exposed data of nearly 37K customers

Prudential Financial revealed a data breach, claimed by ALPHV/BlackCat, which affected 36,545 individuals. The company confirmed the stolen data includes names, addresses and identification numbers, and assured that the group no longer has access to their systems. The breach, which occurred on February 4 and was discovered a day later, has reignited discussions on the SEC’s new regulations for timelier breach disclosures.
