Proofpoint has launched several new machine learning and AI features to its security systems in a bid to shield clients from cyberattacks. The software group’s new weapons will detect business email compromise, ransomware and data exfiltration threats. Additionally, the firm has also explained its seven-step “cyber kill chain” strategy, featuring reconnaissance, weaponisation and delivery stages. These steps trace an adversary’s plan from start to finish, offering insight into mitigating future breaches. On top of this, Proofpoint unveiled two of its newest tools: the Attack Path Risk and large language model detections.
