Robert Califf, former commissioner for Food and Drug Administration, has expressed concern over Donald Trump’s proposed cuts to the FDA. Califf warned that, if implemented, the cuts could delay the agency’s work. He also spoke of how funding for chemical safety and nutrition within the FDA was significantly short, with only a “couple of dozen” individuals working on the latter.
