PowerSchool data breach victims say hackers stole ‘all’ historical student and teacher data

US edtech firm PowerSchool suffered a cyberattack in December, with hackers believed to have accessed all historical teacher and student data. The attack has impacted school districts across the country, though the firm has not specified how many. The compromised data includes names, addresses, social security numbers and some medical and grade information. PowerSchool, which supports over 60 million students in the US, has not attributed the attack to a specific hacker or group.
