Several popular Android apps on the Google Play Store are found vulnerable to a path traversal-related vulnerability that can be exploited to overwrite arbitrary files. Dimitrios Valsamaras of the Microsoft Threat Intelligence stated that this vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution and token theft. Applications such as the Xiaomi File Manager and WPS Office have been identified as being susceptible. Both companies, as well as Google, have taken measures to address this issue.
