Political slugfest after Apple’s iPhone attack warning; Data of 81.5 crore Indians leaked

Apple has warned several Indian opposition leaders of a suspected ‘state-sponsored’ attack on their iPhones, triggering a minor political storm. The company clarified that it could not provide information about what triggered the threat notifications. The ministers who received the threats include Mahua Moitra, Shashi Tharoor, and Priyanka Chaturvedi, among others. This issue follows an alleged massive data breach in which personal details of 81.5 crore Indians were stolen from ICMR servers.
