The Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s top public sector banks, has launched its inaugural Cybersecurity Hackathon 2024-25, with the objective of combating the rise in cybercrime. The hackathon invites innovators, researchers, and academicians to devise next-generation antivirus tools and robust cybersecurity frameworks, among other things, to tackle malware threats. The initiative also underscores the importance of financial institutions collaborating with tech innovators to stay ahead of these threats.
