The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has launched a class action lawsuit against UnitedHealth Group due to losses triggered by the Change Healthcare data breach and cyberattack in February 2024. The suit alleges that UnitedHealth Group and its subsidiaries failed to suitably protect against the breach. NCPA was critical of UnitedHealth’s security measures and the effect the breach and its aftermath had on healthcare providers.
