Personal data of more than 4,000 potential blood donors leaked, says Singapore Red Cross

The personal data of 4,297 people has been compromised due to a hack on the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) website. Information including names, contact numbers, emails, blood types, and donation preferences were leaked. Initial findings suggest that a weak password may have made the website vulnerable. SRC has disconnected the website and engaged external consultants for a forensic investigation. This incident follows previous healthcare-related data breaches in Singapore earlier this year. SRC is notifying affected individuals and working to restore and strengthen its IT systems.
