PERILS and CyberAcuView have launched a US cyber industry loss index. The index includes confirmed US primary cyber market losses from systemic cyber incidents, focusing on events with losses exceeding $500m. The data will be used for insurance-linked securities (ILS) and industry loss warranty contracts (ILW). This will be beneficial to the market by providing access to loss data and supporting sustainable capacity for the US cyber market.
