Prospect, who owns the hospital via Springfield, aimed to complete the closure by November 2022, and open an inpatient behavioral health center in the space by spring 2023. However, this move was blocked by a Pennsylvania judge following a petition by the Foundation of Delaware County. The foundation argued that they must approve any closures.
