Patients with sensitive health issues more comfortable making appointments with chatbots

Approximately two-thirds (66%) of US patients prefer to schedule appointments for sensitive health issues using chatbots rather than staff, a Talkdesk survey found. Moreover, 62% felt the support they receive from their healthcare provider has either stayed the same or worsened in the past year. Nonetheless, 51% of respondents expressed optimism that AI will enhance their patient experience within the next year, with millennials showing the highest amount of hope at 60%.
