Patients turned away and appointments cancelled after hospital declares major incident

The Arrowe Park Hospital, Merseyside, UK, declared a major incident due to a cyber security issue resulting in loss of access to its systems. All electronic functions are down causing substantial disruption to hospital activities. Current solutions are manual. Patients have been turned away and appointments cancelled. For non-emergency cases, the public has been advised to use other health services.
