Patient portal opens new entry points to care at Lurie Children’s Hospital

Before the adoption of its patient portal, Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago relied on phone scheduling systems that resulted in barriers to care and long appointment delays. The hospital transitioned to a digital portal, which enabled online self-scheduling, digital registration, and telehealth services. With this shift, online scheduling increased 14 times, and 91% of patients logged into their portal within three months of their visit.
