Several southwestern Ontario hospitals report a ransomware attack, jeopardizing patient and employee data. The hospitals including Bluewater Health, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Erie Shores HealthCare, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and Windsor Regional, in collaboration with TransForm Shared Service Organization, say they may have experienced a breach. The extent of the data loss remains unknown as investigations continue, and affected parties will be notified according to the law. Online services at the hospitals remain affected since October 24. The hospitals are working with several law enforcement agencies to resolve the attack.
