Patelco Credit Union disclosed a ransomware attack that affected over one million people, stealing sensitive data such as names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. The attack began on May 23 and disrupted online banking, mobile application, and call center operations. The company is offering two years of free credit monitoring and identity protection services to affected individuals. The RansomHub gang claimed responsibility for the attack and allegedly auctioned off the stolen data.
