Advanced, a business software and services provider, has confirmed a significant outage across many health and care systems was due to a cyber-attack. The affected systems include the Adastra software used by 85% of NHS 111 services. Advanced’s COO, Simon Short, stated immediate isolation of all health and care environments contained the attack. The company is working on system recovery with NHS and health and care bodies.
