Financial services platform Square experienced a widespread outage, forcing small businesses to switch to cash only payments. Square is still working on a fix to the disruption which began at its data centre at 11:47 a.m. The platform usually allows businesses to record credit card information; currently, however, many are unable to log into their accounts.
