The founding CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre, Professor Ciaran Martin, has warned that parts of the UK’s National Health Service’s IT system are outdated and prone to further cyberattacks. The warning follows a June cyberattack that postponed more than 6,000 procedures and appointments at major London hospitals. Stolen data from the attack, carried out by Russian group Qilin, was published online.
