OSF HealthCare, based in Peoria, Illinois, has acquired its 17th hospital, the 80-bed Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon. The deal officially closed on 1 January 2022, and the hospital will now be known as St. Katharine Medical Center, adhering to the ethical guidelines of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
