Oracle quietly admits data breach, days after lawsuit accused it of cover-up

Cloud security assumptions have been fundamentally undercut by a breach that exposed 6 million records, forcing tenants and users to rethink their strategies due to compromised security. Sunil Varkey of Beagle Security said the incident highlighted the “watering hole” effect, where every tenant logging in becomes a target. The breach was related to a vulnerability in Oracle Access Manager known as CVE-2021-35587.
