Oracle at HIMSS24: Rolling out AI, back-office fusion and simplifying data exchange

Oracle showcased new healthcare products, including a generative AI data assistant, at its second global conference since acquiring Cerner. The assistant automates note-taking, medication orders, and scheduling of labs and appointments. Seema Verma, former administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and executive VP at Oracle, also outlined the firm’s work within electronic health records, creating an open ecosystem, and streamlining operations. Verma stated that Oracle is aiming to improve patient care outcomes.
