It uses OpenAI’s chat API with a model that generates marketing messages and includes a specific site name and service description. This makes each message unique and hard to filter out as spam. SentinelLabs found it had succeeded in delivering these messages to over 80,000 websites. OpenAI reiterated such usage contravenes its terms of service.
