One million NHS patients’ data compromised after cyberattack on University of Manchester

A ransomware attack on the University of Manchester reportedly compromised 1.1 million patients’ NHS data across 200 UK hospitals. The information, which incorporated trauma patients’ data and people treated after terror attacks, was assembled for research. The university warned health officials about the potential publication of the compromised NHS data, though the extent of the breach is still unknown.
