ONC issues EHR draft tests for 2014 functions

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has released a second set of draft test procedures to ensure that electronic health records can perform required functions in 2014. The procedures, tools, and test data will be used by testing labs and certification organizations to verify EHRs’ adherence to meaningful use standards. The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program has approved five testing labs to certify EHRs.
