Okta hit by third-party data breach exposing employee information

Okta is notifying about 5,000 employees past and present of a data breach after a vendor, Rightway Healthcare, was targeted by cybercriminals. The breach exposed names, social security numbers, and health insurance plan details. Although there is no evidence of misuse, Okta is offering two years of credit monitoring and identity theft protection services. The breached data dates back from April 2019 to 2020 and does not impact Okta customers.
