The US Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights has settled with Lafourche Medical Group over a hacking incident. The Louisiana-based healthcare provider will pay $480,000 and implement a corrective action plan over a failure to protect the electronic health information of almost 35,000 individuals.
