Deven McGraw, Deputy Director for Health Information Privacy at HHS Office for Civil Rights, has resigned to work in the private sector. She joined a health technology startup focused on “empowering consumers.” Iliana Peters will temporarily fill her position. McGraw had also been working as ONC’s chief privacy officer, a role that will not be filled. McGraw has a rich privacy background and has worked on various health data security initiatives.
