Refuah Health Center is to pay $450,000 in penalties after a settlement with the New York Attorney General’s Office for its failure to protect patient data. The healthcare company was implicated in a 2021 ransomware attack impacting 300,000 patients due to insufficient encryption and lack of multifactor authentication.
