Cybersecurity company, ReversingLabs, found a malicious software, “pdf-to-office”, on the npm (Node Package Manager) network that infects Atomic Wallet and Exodus software with code that intercepts cryptocurrency transfers. The malware changes the recipient wallet address and remains embedded in the software even after the malicious package is removed, pointing to an increased risk of sophisticated software supply chain attacks in the cryptocurrency sector.
